~Whole Body Integration~

All classes at FierceHeart are therapeutic and taught by Certified Yoga Therapists. These are not your typical yoga classes! The focus is on your experience; you will be guided by what you feel as a means to gently build strength and resilience in your body and mind. These classes blend asana (postures) with subtle and simple movements that provide an opportunity to explore how we move and help improve function and flow in our bodies.

In these classes you will cultivate awareness and curiosity, while increasing stability and steadiness for your body and mind. You will learn to recognize your tendencies both physical, mental and emotional, while simultaneously unwinding your nervous system and building resilience. Each class is unique and structured appropriately to meet the needs of participants who attend day to day.

All our classes are foundational in nature, hence they are appropriate for all levels, supporting you to reduce pain and limitation, while also increasing mobility, strength and vitality. You will leave feeling peaceful and inspired.

This therapeutic class is suitable for individuals recovering from injury or illness, those with chronic pain issues, or those looking to maintain overall health and wellness.  Tanya guides movements slowly and gently with the intention to increase mobility and stability in the spine, hips and shoulders.  With a focus on recovery through rest, breath awareness and mudras, this class begins and ends with guided relaxation.

Join Lindsay for this unique therapeutic yoga experience. If you are someone who has nagging pain or chronic tension and you feel like you can't get rid of it no matter what you do, then this class is for you. Lindsay will help you find strength and structure while simultaneously releasing and relaxing your body and mind to build resilience and integration. This class cultivates opening - opening your body, your mind, your heart, and your wisdom. This class is suitable for you if you are: curious to grow awareness of your inner experience, if you want to 'feel better', and if you want to improve how you move. Drawing on all things somatic and yogic, Lindsay guides you in a journey to bring your mind, body and spirit into alignment by guiding you to do less and feel more.

Learn traditional practices that express the eight limbs of yoga. Participants will experience yoga as tools for refining the mind (chitta) and getting beyond thoughts (vrittis).

All levels of yogi can take something from this class, which includes a combination of asana (postures), pranayama (breath-work), chanting and meditation.

The eight limbs of yoga include:
moral discipline, observances, physical postures, breathing techniques, sense withdrawal, concentration, meditation, and bliss. Sarada is a Certified Yoga Teacher and Ayurvedic Practitioner who teaches these limbs directly from her heart.

Gentle Slow Flo is a class focused on helping you find the space between poses while still retaining the gentle rhythm of a flow style yoga class.

Experience the meditative and calming effects of a slow flow class, whilst reaping the benefits of improved strength and flexibility. Jillian and Jocelyn alternate this class on Saturdays, both teaching a heart-centered class that offers stillness, space, movement, flow, and self-compassion.

At Fierce Studio, we practice traditional Yang family style Tai Chi as taught by 7th-generation lineage holder, Sifu Michael Paler (Tai Chi Association of Colorado Springs), descendant of Grandmaster Wei Shuren.

Tai Chi is a form of moving meditation practiced with slow, relaxed, and flowing movements.  As a low-impact exercise, Tai Chi helps increase mobility, muscular endurance, balance and mental focus. This class is great for beginners! We will focus on basic body mechanics of Yang family style Tai Chi (Taijiquan). You will learn a simple, 24-movement sequence over the series of a few weeks.

Class begins with a variety of warm-up exercises and stretches designed to build strong and elastic connective tissue. We will end the session with a series of breathing practices (Qigong) to calm the mind and nourish the body. All levels welcome.

Push Hands (tui shou) refers to the 2-person practices of Tai Chi (Taijiquan). These partner drills and exercises help to develop yielding, balance and listening skills. Push hands training is one part meditative flow and one part martial arts contest. Students will learn to respond to force with relaxation rather than stress and tension.

Class begins with a variety of warm-up exercises and stretches designed to build strong and elastic connective tissue. We will end the session with a series of breathing practices (Qigong) to calm the mind and nourish the body. All levels welcome.
